ColdBox GroovyLoader 3.0 Released!

Thanks to team member Sana Ullah, we have upgraded our Groovy Loader project to version 3.0. This version includes several updates like it sports a new interceptor called GroovyStarter that you can configure in your configuration file and the entire groovy environment will wrap itself and become available in any ColdBox 3.5 application.

Not only that, but now you can also add any amount of java and groovy library locations and the plugin will load them at startup into your application. ColdBox Module: FileBrowser v1.6 Released

We are happy to announce a cool little update for our multi-operating system file browser and manager module. This update includes some nice css, image updates but also a new grid or listing system for content, and double click selections. This cool little module can be used in any ColdBox 3 application and give you great file managing, browsing and selection capabilities. It also integrates with CKEditor and it is very easy to integrate with other Open Source editors as well.

ColdBox Platform Utilities v2.9 Released!

ColdBox & ContentBox HTML Compressors

We have released today a cool module that will do HTML compression for your ColdBox and ContentBox applications. This module is based off the HTML Compressor and Minifier project (http://code.google.com/p/htmlcompressor/). This module will compress your HTML with certain compiler rules, compress your inline CSS and even your inline JavaScript. It can also keep track of compressed HTML in any CacheBox provider for you, so compression is done efficiently. So if you are looking to optimize your applications even more, then check out our HTML Compressor. If you are using ContentBox, you can just go to the Modules tab > ForgeBox. Then click install and watch it download and install it for you in your ContentBox system.

We have already seen tremendous bandwith benefits already by using this module, so what are you waiting for!

JSMin Compressor v1.7 Released!

JSMin Compressor is a plugin that interfaces with our own flavor of JSMin to minify css and js files. It can also compress several files of the same type into a single include, that can be cached in your ColdBox applications. This release fixes our java parser to compress more complicated CSS3 notations correctly.

Using our compressor can be as easy as this:

ColdBox Validation Engine for v3.5

Just a quick announcement that we now have finally implemented a validation engine and aggregator in ColdBox for 3.5 release. It has an embedded validation engine but it also allows you to use ANY validation framework within ANY ColdBox application as long as it satisfies a few interfaces. A big thanks to Curt Gratz on his awesome efforts and collaboration on this project. The ColdBox FileBrowser module is now available for mass consumption and is a front-runner in ContentBox for media management and integration with CKEditor.

So what is FileBrowser? FileBrowser is a ColdBox Module that will enable file management capabilities in your applications. It can also act as a file or directory chooser and has full integration with CKEditor.

New JSMin Compressor v1.5

Thanks to Scott Coldwell we are releasing a new version of our JSMin compressor plugin for JS and CSS files for ColdBox. As usual, you can install this latest release via ForgeBox or ColdFusion Builder if you have the ColdBox Platform Utilities extension installed. This release sports the following:

Content hash approach to file generation so same file name survives restarts until content changes occur. This is great for CDNs, browser caching and generation. Meaning the concatenated files change until a change is made in their content.
Updated to use string builders instead of buffers
Fixed to remove first empty line of JS and CSS files.
